What the nominators said about Carrie Loutsis
Grandma is a long time resident of Duvall who is a friend to the local Girl Scouts. Every summer she donates her land to be used as an all volunteer run daycamp. Many people will recognize her from her regular walks to Safeway down Big Rock Road where she can be found picking up trash and smiling and waving at passers by.
She is "Grandma" to the girl scout community in Duvall. Every year she let's them use her gorgeous property for Valley Day Camp. She always has so much love for all of the kids at camp. I don't think there is anyone more deserving of this
Carrie has been a long time resident of Duvall. She is an amazingly strong woman who supports the community. She supports the local Girl Scout programs by allowing them to have their day camp on their amazing property each year!!! She is not getting any younger and it would be great to see her recognized.
She has been a positive influence and icon of Duvall for literally decades . All the girl scouts of the valley know her as Grandma and she has graciously allowed her lovely property to be the most fantastic girl scout camp for many many years! She is highly respected and would make the perfect Grand Marshall of Duvall !
Grandma Loutsis is a Duvall ICON! We’ve lived here 25 years and have known her for all of them. She’s a gem❤️
Shes an icon of this town. Always walking with her stick & saying hi to people. She always vrings a smile to my face.
Everyone knows Carrie as the adorable old lady who walks all around town, especially on Big Rock Road. She has been a supporter of our local Girl Scouts for many years as well. She has been a friendly welcoming face around town for decades and loves her community.
She has given to the Girl Scouts out here in the Valley for many years. She opens up her property every year for the girls to hold their week long day camp. She also does walks along our streets daily and will pick up any trash that she sees. She has a very kind heart and loves to help others expecting nothing in return.
Rain or shine Carrie can often be found walking around town, never letting her age slow her down
